Even the churches are going high-tech! The Vatican has approved the use of an iPad on the altar, which will replace the normal Catholic missal. An Italian priest Paolo Padrini, who has developed the iBreviary app for iPhone before, developed an application that will let priests celebrate Mass with an iPad. This app includes the texts of the mass, the breviary, the readings of the mass, the main Catholic prayers, the stories of the saints, etc. He expects the iPad to be helpful for priests who do a lot of travel related to their work. I didn’t know that priests could be so tech-savvy! Whatever happened to the whole science vs. church war from Dan Brown’s book Angels and Demons?
